Because I'm one person deciding whether to order parts for a thousand robots. Preorders are how I know this is real and not just a warm comment section. If October slips, I'll tell you why, in plain terms, before you have to ask.

Where he is today, honestly:

He walks backwards right now; screen-forward walking is the thing I'm fixing this month. The 3D-printed shell is validated and the cardboard shell is still in testing, so the final shell may be 3D-printed, cardboard, or wood. Kits ship October 2026, US and Canada only.

Do I need to know electronics?

No. There's no soldering. If you can build flat-pack furniture, you're overqualified.

What phone does it need?

Any reasonably recent iPhone or Android. The phone is his face and his brain; setup is one click in your browser.

What are brain credits?

The thinking runs on AI that costs real money per minute. Your kit includes a month. After that, small credit packs keep him awake. He never charges you without asking.
